Title: Vernier compatibility

#1
Hello Guys,

On Harold Hall's interesting website I found this digital vernier mounted on a lathe. The vernier has a big LCD display so that it is used as a digital readout by itself. I would like to know if this kind of verniers are compatible with the Caliper2PC interface.

Does anybody know which protocol it uses?

Hi Besnik,

We will have to check if this type of caliper has a data port at all. I am not sure it has.

Does anybody know?

According to pictures of this type of caliper there seems to be no opening for a data port. However some calipers have a data port with soldering terminals on the PCB even if there is no opening it the plastic housing (see picture).

To find out, one have to disassemble the caliper and take a look at the PCB.
